Each season at The Crosseyed Cricket has its own special magic.
The spring season is filled with anticipation! The promise of trees turning fuzzy with new leaves, flowers sticking their heads up again to greet the warm weather and rosebushes donning their new growth and tempting us with visions of beautiful flowers to follow. The ducks are busy checking out nesting spots and accepting handouts from generous campers. A season full of promise!

Summer brings the happy sounds of paddleboats being piloted around the lake, swimmers splashing in the pool, and the smell of woodsmoke as campers roast hot dogs and marshmallows over their campfire.

Fall gives us a chance to decorate the area with flowers, scarecrows, straw horses and more.
It's also the time we host the annual Clinch River Knapp-In. The area is filled with people from across the country exhibiting arrowheads, Indian jewelry, and other native American crafts. Many vendors share their knowledge through demonstrations of the art of crafting arrowheads, and bows and arrows. The crisp fall air and the spectacular leaf color add to the excitement and fun.
In late November and December the Christmas Tree Plantation provides more memory making opportunities. You and your family can choose and cur your own tree. You will find hundreds of White Pine  and Scotch Pines, Blue Spruce and Douglas Firs. Come out and pick your own special tree. We provide the saws. Just bring your family and make your choice.
